Just a few reasons why I love my Valentine:
1) he works hard all day, teaching all morning, preparing and grading in the afternoon, and talking to the bad kids' parents on the phone in the evenings; all for a job his heart isn't 100% into.
his job means i don't have to work and am able to study German.
2) though it's no party, he did our taxes. American AND German taxes! and, since he speaks perfect German, he's the one who researched and found our health care, car insurance, read the rental contract, registered us in town, and did all the red tape to set us up in this country. i merely cheered from the sidelines.
3) he takes out the bio bowl. the bowl's not gross, but the communal can we dump into downstairs just grosses me out; it's beyond filthy. i couldn't even take a picture of it, it's that icky.
i'm so thankful he does that.
4) he takes extra sneaky steps to buy me flowers a day in advance, hide them somewhere in the garage, and bring them upstairs to greet me on Valentine's Day morning!
