phase 1 cardiologist appt OK

update, for those that didn't get our mass email for some reason: Stefan's cardiologist appointment on Friday went well. Phase 2 will be a 24-hour heart monitor coming this Thursday until Friday morning. Friday will bring paperwork to be submitted to the officials (who will not review it until Monday of the following week). What the cardiologist says on Friday should be the big indicator, but the official health office of Giessen could interpret the info their own way... so keep praying it all continues to go well!

The good thing is that all of Stefan's running paid off. He's been running 5k 2-3x/week for a while now and although his numbers were still high, the cardiologist could see it wasn't because he's a couch potato.....phew!
