hot hot heat

cold and rainy has passed and the heat is back with a vengence! Yesterday we painted our bedroom a light spring green and it looks great. Today Stefan did the ceiling in the office and will give it a fresh coat of white paint tomorrow. We want everything to be ready for when the boxes arrive from the US -- ie no painting when we're swimming in boxes.

In a few weeks we're hoping to be able to rent a truck to pick up Stefan's big desk from a friend's barn a few hours away. We should also be able to pick up the dining room table from Stefan's mom's house at that point. Then we'll have a table to eat at. Stefan thinks he will be building shelves himself to fit the office walls. We have so many books coming and will certainly need a place to put them all!

Friday the 27th I have my exam for my German class, hopefully it goes well....it's been too hot in our classroom this past week for anybody to really concentrate, so we're all hoping it cools off again soon......

Happy news of the day was that we just found out that dear friends have finally heard about their adoption process and are expecting a girl! They will be travelling to Ethiopia (hopefully sooner rather than later) to meet their daughter this year. Congrats Karoliina and John!!
