Looks like Stefan is good to go, official word on Monday!

Thanks for the prayers. Yesterday and through the night, Stefan wore an electronic blood pressure thingy and he was able to wait for the results this morning when he returned the machine. The cardiologist says he has higher than average blood pressure, but not high enough to validate him being on medication every day. She did give him a prescription for something to take for when he knows he has a stressful day coming up, so that's good. The best was that she wrote a letter that says she sees no reason to ever think Stefan would need to retire early since his heart was clearly not an issue. PHEW!

Stefan delivered this letter and the papers to the office of health in Giessen, so hopefully they agree (we can't see how they wouldn't) and put the beamte-status paperwork through asap!
