Nothing new to share, just up to my ears in the dative and akkusitiv cases and, (in theory) memorizing vocab and irregular verbs. sigh.
the Fourth of July was uneventful here and we were thinking of the folks in Gloucester watching the fireworks over the harbor. This weekend is the 10 year anniversary of the Marburg city festival, also the 800 year anniversary of St. Elisabeth of Thuringia (who made her home in the castle here and of whom the oldest gothic cathedral (here of course) is named after. There are supposed to be fireworks over the castle at midnight on Saturday night. (it does sound exotic doesn't it? but with predicted rain....) - we need a strategy for best view....any German readers care to suggest some spots?
Also going on will be the culmination of efforts that we've been hearing (and observing) in the river Lahn. Dragonboat teams from area companies compete on Saturday and Sunday....yes, dragonboats in the middle of Germany. You KNOW I'm already working on finding out to get in on that action next year.....after 5 years of outrigger canoes I know how to hold a paddle and have always wanted to try the sprints in a dragonboat. Check back with me next year on that one. The picture with the bridge is the suspension pedestrian bridge I cross nearly daily.

Did you see the fireworks? Will had lots here of his own, plus we saw the Carmel ones. They were pretty! Miss you.:-)
