picnics and paper flowers

Tomorrow we're going to look at a car. This weekend we may look at some apartments. We're definitely going to the Easter Market on Saturday with Stefan's mom like last year. But what has happened already this week? A few things. Like an impromptu picnic:

With some kids who were crazy and some kids who were calm, take a wild guess who was who:

Then there were paper flowers. A tutorial is here, but I recommend 6" squares of paper instead of 4" squares. These are good to do while talking with your husband about whether you should or should not get a car like this one.
Real flowers came later today courtesy of the cheapy flower shop in town. I thought the little eggshell pot was cute without being too cutesy. A little daffodil is finally popping up.

And now it's off to bed.

First, LOVE the flowers!! Second, LOVE the car! Is it b/c you all are looking at the country house that you're looking at a car?

Maybe when we come see you in Germany you and I can do something crafty like paper flowers. And the guys can dig in the dirt or something. Whatever guys do.

Car = mobility, which is something we're sorely lacking. For the same money we spend each month on our carsharing bill we could pay for our own car and put away something for savings for future car repairs. There are so many things we DON'T do b/c of carsharing that kill our quality of life - and yet so many things we MUST do with carsharing that up our monthly bill. So it's pretty silly. Still, we're glad we gave it a go for a year; it really helped us evaluate where our money was going and how it affected our lives.

And yes, we can make paper flowers when you come to Germany! All you have to do now is get on over here! =)
