last day of school

No more classes, no more books, no more students' dirty looks!

Today was Stefan's last day of school before the 3 week Christmas break. The breakfast party was a huge success, complete with 50+ bread rolls fresh from the local bakery and - according to Stefan- some of the tastiest sausages from the kids. He went in early and put their bags of cookies on their desks before they came and they were all so pleased and thought it was so cool - another success!

They also had all traded names for a gift exchange and one little girl had drawn Stefan's name. They were supposed to spend no more than 2.50 euro on the gift, so I'd say she spent a little more. I just love how the German's go all out with wrapping stuff here! So much more interesting!Stefan also received this gift from one of his students - as you can see it says "Von: Jakob". A little crooked framed bulletin board. Totally cute! This was a pleasant surprise b/c Jakob is, shall we say, a little rowdier than the rest of his classmates.....We're now full swing into packing and preparing for our trip. Tomorrow we celebrate Christmas with Stefan's mom and brother, Frank. Sunday.....really, really, early we depart for the airport... oh boy!
