Reddy?

Flyers like this were fluttering through the air all over one of Zimbabwe's major cities this morning. It would appear to be done by a plane drop, but nobody is taking credit. Red ribbons and flyers have also blanketed the city to remind people to support the 'opposition' - the MDC party - and to try and bring further shame and attention to the sham election show that Mugabe is running.

It's always encouraging to see resistance in the face of such darkness - people who are facing severe food shortages, dragging about suitcases full of money b/c of inflation, etc. - but it's also a reminder of how easy most of us have it. Let's not forget the darkness we are also surrounded by and remember we are called to shine like stars in the midst of it.

"Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life—in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing." Philippians 2:14-16

Please pray for justice and mercy for the people of Zimbabwe.
