After baking bread with the Vikings
and facing fierce beasts
in a replica Viking village (supposedly over 700 Vikings lived here)
and looking for amber (the stone, not a child!) on the beaches
and walking on the tidal flats
and taking a boat tour of the Hamburg harbor
and sleeping in small beds under the eaves in Schuby,

Stefan and his 28 fifth graders returned home last night
sunburned, tired, and with suitcases full of dirty laundry.

An "Amber Alert" will never be the same again. Glad to see all the kids (and Stefan) made it back from the land of the Wikings!
