Catching our breath

We're catching our breath (and doing our laundry) today since Juliette's parents left yesterday and we're leaving tomorrow. Dad flew off to Spain before heading back to Indy, Mom flew to Toronto for a short visit there before heading back to Indy, and Stefan and I are driving to Belgium tomorrow for 3 days before coming back here to Marburg! All this after traveling through southern Bayern and Austria for 8 days with my parents!

All this craziness started when my mom arrived on a Wednesday, Stefan taught his last class on Thursday before the holiday break, then he preached at a wedding on Friday for some old friends, Dad arrived Saturday, and we took off on Sunday.

PHEW!
We're catching our breath today. When we get back from Belgium we'll tell you all about it!

In the meantime, here's a shot from the wedding - another kind of German wedding tradition. Apparently it took them quite a while to actually cut through the log. This couple married on the German unification day (when Eastern and Western Germany officially united) - this was fun for them because the bride grew up in the former East and the groom grew up in Western Germany. How apropo!
